You’re receiving this because at some point, you came to one of my meetups or signed up for my podcast mailing list. And if that’s the case—we’re overdue for a catch-up!

One of the unintended consequences of remote work is that it's become harder to meet new people and make friends. It doesn't help that we've been experiencing a decline in friendship since the 90s.

That's one of the reasons why I started hosting meetups for Latinos in Tech and remote workers back in 2022. After the pandemic, I felt that my social skills were going down the drain. I would actually go days at a time without talking to anyone in person except my wife. I wanted to make a space where you could meet people that were going through the same thing you were experiencing, without having to worry about being "professional" or "having a good elevator pitch". I wanted it to be a friendly, welcoming place where you could be yourself.

Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of hosting over 50 meetups and connecting with over 600 Latinos in Tech across different cities. And one thing is clear—we crave community.

It’s not just about networking or talking shop (though we do plenty of that too). It’s about being in a space where you don’t have to explain yourself. Where people just get you.

And that’s why I’m bringing Latinos in Tech Meetups to a city near you. 🚀
